"Tomorrow." The wolf replied. "Their mentors will be decided tonight, however. FanDance, lead them to the oasis." The jet black horse nodded as the wolf turned to the young animals. "Do exactly as she says or you'll never see the light of dawn." It snarled.

At the other side was a small island of dew, just enough to hold all of the animals on. FanDance slowly stepped into the spring, until her body below her neck was submerged. Her legs were just tall enough for her to stand on the bottom and still have her head above the water.
