Kovi turned away from them.

"Kovi! Please! I need you!!!" Daru continued to beg.

"Daru and the pups need you" He reminded Kovi "You can't protect them if your trapped here"

"It's too late for me..." He whispered.

"What are you going to do in here Kovi? Sat around and waste away your life while Daru raises the pups alone? Without a father?" Maria growled "Stop being so selfish!"

"Do you think I want to serve that monster?!?!?!" Kovi thundered "I have to do what I deem as best for my family!" Tears came to his eyes.

"Then get out of here!" Maria shouted "What good are you trapped in here while Vlad goes after your family and the rest of Lakia huh? Are you going to leave Daru and the pups to fend for themselves? Do you call that doing the best for your family?"
