Grace grabbed his scruff in her powerful jaws and hauled him backwards, holding him while Sam raked his claws across his throat again, splattering blood across the cave wall.

Sara shifted into a bear the same size as he was and assisted Grace and Sam in holding him down. While he was pinned, Evander raked his claws across his already torn throat, finally slicing through the artery that directed blood flow to his brain.
