Sara remained in the form of the serpent, just in case they were attacked again. Aiden remained on stand-by above them. "My name is Sara, I am the rebel leader of the city Kabile." She introduced herself. "Above us is Aiden, rebel leader of Alicant."

"I am Avery...and this is my brother, Samson." The smaller gorilla panted.

Finishing her meal, Juniper ambled towards a nearby forest to rest and preen.

"What happened here? Why were they chasing you?" She asked, shifting her claws slightly.

A shadow passed over top of her, filling the sky with the sound of a single, slow wingbeat.

"What happened here? Why were they chasing you?" She asked, shifting her claws slightly.

"They were chasing us because of this." Samson placed a crystal in front of Sara. "We don't know what it does, but it was very important to the army."

"Odasa's?" Sara asked, picking up the crystal in her claws.

"I think it had something to do with Oden, his father. Oden was rumored to be close to creating a new magic, but he was killed. We believe that this might hold the secret to defeating the dark side." Samson said.

Sara examined the crystal, then closed her fist around it "Kate will want to see this." She told them.

"Odasa said that Kate was dead..." Avery looked confused.
