Lakia: The Dark Era

"Did he now?" Sara said with mild interest "He was wrong."

"C-could we join you?" Avery asked hesitantly.

Sara looked up from the crystal, narrowing her eyes slightly. She lowered her head to stare at them at eye level, her sharp fangs sticking out slightly from under her leathery lips "Why?"

 

[RPer98]

"Well, if it weren't for us, you wouldn't even be looking at that crystal." Samson snorted. "And we know how to build things that have only been seen by Odasa's army."

 

[HollyBird24]

Sara stared at them for a moment long, then gave a slight nod. "You may come with me."

 

[RPer98]

Samson and Avery nodded, ready to follow from the ground.

Sara's form shimmered again and the serpent creature melted into a slender, dappled snow leopard. Without waiting for their reaction she turned and headed into the trees at a quick trot.

 

[K-12 Chickens]

A shadow passed over top of her, filling the sky with the sound of a single, slow wingbeat.

Before Juniper reached the forest, she noticed something blot out the sun for moment and a shadow glided over the ground. She glanced upwards. "Who's there?!" she screeched,

The sky was empty when she looked up, giving no indication that something had been there only moments before. Behind her, the trees rustled as something large moved through them, just out of reach of her vision.

 

[K-12 Chickens]

One of Juniper's ears twitched as it picked up noises. The small crest surrounding her face flared slightly as she whipped her head around to face the rustling. Her feathered and furry tail flicked from side to side.
