Lame Duck Question..

Her vent is still visible but it is healing. I am keeping her and one other Duck (she has missing feathers as well) in a small winterized coop in the run. I have chicken wire over the door so they can look out and the others can see and hear them. I'm thinking they will need to stay in there until their feathers return, right?

I was going to build a separate pen for the ducks but now that I know it is a duck that is causing the issue, I'm at a loss!
Hopefully when she is healed up they will stop picking on her :fl

Well. .just thoughts. . but sometimes when one shows weakness the others pick on them. That's why often times we don't know they are sick or hurt until it's too late. :(
They hide their weakness to avoid making themselves a target.
Separating them is about all you can do. . but also expect some squabbling when reintroduced as well.
Seeing but not touching is a good idea.
How is her vent now?

For those more experienced duck owners what would you do at this point? DD can't walk, was doing better but relapsed. She try's her darnedest, it'd be different I suspose if she just gave. But thats not her. She seem happiest with the flock, I'm hoping the one I put in with her will lift her spirit!

Do you have her on BComplex liquid?

No, is that something I just put in her water? I take B12 injections...do you think that could help her?

I have no idea what is wrong with her. Her leg does not look broken, she gets better I put with the others and gets worse, I take back in Dr her up she gets better, I put out with the others and she gets worse....now she can't walk two-three steps!

You gotta stop talking about action and take action. Pick one of the segested nutrients and start flooding her with it or she may be permenently disabled. Not that it will cure her but its her chance right now

you can get this one at tractor supply.
Draw it out with a syringe and squirt it on her favorite treat. You shouldn't be able to overdose her or anything, Just try to get some down her daily for a while.
You can put it in her water too. . But in her condition I would try to get some direct doses down her for a week or so to see if there is any improvement.
