Lame duckling

One of our ducklings is lame - his leg drags behind him and he’s having trouble keeping up with the flock. Any ideas for helping him out? Has anyone made a splint for their ducks?

Is he getting enough Niacin and protein?

He got tangled trying to get through the chicken wire and injured it. Looks like it’s turned backward. It doesn’t seem to hurt and he hops around ok on one foot, but I’d like to help if I can. How do I get him Niacin?

Can you post a pic of the injured leg is there a wound? If it's facing backward it maybe out of joint does it just dangle?

You can see a small wound on the top of the leg, but it may be out of joint too. When he wiggles his legs the injured leg kicks backward

Can you take the little one to a vet I think he needs more help than what we can give if it’s out of socket poor little one

That looks pretty bad. I don’t think you will have a lot of success without a vet.
