Lame hen, discharge from beak

It could be dehydration. Have you given her electrolytes? I'd also to poultry nutridrench. How was her poop?

I believe my hen has a respiratory infection. We are calling the vet tomorrow. I bought some VetX to treat her with tonight.

I did mix in a vitamin and electrolyte mix in her water. She pooped once in all the time she was in the hutch. It was white and yellow and had a strong stench. I now have a feeling she might be egg bound. So i gave her a warm bath and tomorrow will feed her water with a dropper. If she poops again I will take a picture.

Use a gloved finger with olive oil or coconut oil on it and insert into her vent only an inch or two, if there's an egg stuck, you should be able to feel it. She'll probably poop on you when you do it.

Krisch, my hens eyes are beginning to swell like your hens. One eye can hardly open and is really watery. Im going to call the vet as well, if they don't look at chickens then I'll have to put her down

It's probably coryza/CRD/MG. One of those two is synonymous with another but i can't remember which.

I've just looked those up and it seems like it is Corzya.

I didn't get the opportunity to call the vet today but I will as soon as I can tomorrow. I'm afraid I might have to put her down I really hope not. She's my best hen. Her eyes are now swollen shut. I've been treating her for a respiratory infection. I'm hoping the vet will just give me a prescription for antibiotics without charging me a whole bunch.
