Hi all,
We have a beautiful young Buff Orp hen (about 5 months old) who's suddenly come up lame.
She has no wounds on her at all, and is otherwise seemingly perfectly healthy, eating and drinking normally. Her only symptom is that she will not put any weight on her right leg. She is kind of bunny hopping around the run on her left leg only.
We examined her, and the right leg bends at the hock normally, and the foot extends and contracts normally. The hip joint, though, seems abnormally loose and floppy.
Anyone seen anything like this? Could she have somehow dislocated her hip?
Is there anything we can do for her?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
