Hi all, I have followed a few threads on this topic... my wonderful black orpington rooster has gone suddenly lame over 3 days mainly in the right leg; he spends more time sensibly sitting down on a roost to take the weight off. Seems otherwise OK, eating, drinking, managing to give the others aggro when necessary. He has let me inspect him - he gets red legs in the winter and has one toenail but on the left that curves in. He did lose a nail a couple of weeks ago, was bleeding a bit then.

I am not sure which of the many advices I should take. He doesn't seem to have bumblefoot, and joints all bending OK....

Any thoughts anyone? One of the threads suggested aspirin, seems sensible, will try that.

All the best Dee
