Lame Sebbie can't walk help

You know what, I'm having similar problems with my 2 mo old. He was not getting niacin either. This is what I found on Metzger's. I am still waiting for him to get better. I was hoping someone else might have info on how to help a lame goose with a niacin deficiency. http://metzerfarms.blogspot.com/2011/03/are-my-ducklings-leg-problems-due-to.html
Hi just had a look at your link thanks very much, might well be worth me getting niacin to give him too. Let me know how your gander goes please hopefully they'll both be back up in no time :)

Hi Miss Lydia,
Here's sebastian after his injections on his feet and continuing to thrieve, I was told worms were poisioning him as he went of his feet 3rd day into worming.
Sebastian top pic Surina bottom pic :)

I have a breeding pair now, got him a stunning curly goose. :) We also have another smooth breasted gander called Elliot haven't introduced them to eachother yet so here's hoping it goes well.

He had lost alot of weight when he went off his feet but he has put it back on he's alot bigger than in this pic, this pic was taken just after his injections when he first got up :))))

That is great news, and to get him his very own girl well he have to be in goosey heaven. He looks great and so does Surina. Hey I did get the VermX too.

Been keeping up on how things went with your Sebastian. So glad to hear you pulled him out of the worm poisoning! Great to hear h is finally walking and a swim too wonderful...
So you have a mate for him that will make him happy.

Now do you know come next breeding season the two ganders will fight over the female? I just wanted to let you know this. I do not want you to get scared but might be a good idea to separate the pair from the other gander so you do not have this happen or maybe get another female.

I had a gander beat up my one so badly he plucked out all his feather's on his back. If I had not taken the gander out I would have lost him.
I like to tell people so they are aware of this before breeding season. Because you sound new to geese and you need to know this. Did the person selling you your Sebastopol's tell you this?

Hi thanks very much for your post RURU, your sebastopols are beautiful. I'm going to either sell or separate the ganders in the mating season, I have heard they fight - last year I only had one gander and he was very brutal ripping the females feathers out so I can quite imagine they males will be worse. It's even more worrying that Sebastian is twice the size of the other male he's so much bigger than in the pic now (so could cause quite a bit of damage) I bought the curly goose from cheshire poultry and told them I already had a smooth gander but they said would only sell the birds as a pair so had to buy the smooth gander aswell. Thanks for the info will definately separate them :)))
