GIMP is the free photo editor that many people use. I don't care for it because it will not work on the 16 bit .tiff files that my RAW software produces. It will only work on 8 bit files which is what jpegs are.

Thanks for the help! I’ll be considering all of it soon. I only just got into photography over quarantine (of course) so I’m getting the hang of things. I’ll be great fun for your help once I finally figure out what programs to use for editing and maybe some time in the near future find a camera (that isn’t my phone) that Will make it even better!
