Thank you for posting these! Is this cock one that you hatched from your stock? Is he related to my 2 black boys??? I hope so!

Do you have problems with the white cropping up later on down the line? I didn't plan on liking the whites but there is just something I really like about this boy from your stock, Mikaela!

LOL! I said the same thing when I hatched out the white one here!

You could have whites pop up later on down the line. They are recessive white, so they need to be homozygous for white in order to reproduce white. You can use the white to produce better blacks and whites in conformation, leg feathering or whatever it is that has you hooked! ;)

I used blacks to better my whites. They would have gone nowhere had I not used the blacks to get them a bit better. I have a black female that is so good, I thought she was from my entirely black lines. Now I can tell she has recessive white in her. She will be used with the white cockerel to reproduce, should I get lucky and the white male actually live to breeding age...

The whites are like nicotin. VERY hard to get out of the system. @Mikaela: I had that magazine today, 5 pages about Croad Langshans. I am considering NOT to send you a photo-copy, so many nice photos, they will not be justified in B/W. I'll start reading tonight, and decide, maybe I should send you the whole magazine? Maybe. There are a couple of other articles in there that you MIGHT enjoy, I will proof-read it for you tonight, and then, MAYBE.

PLEASE! I beg of you, please remove those spiral bands from those males. They WILL grow into the skin and into the bones! Very painful to remove and it looks like one of them is already starting to grow into the leg.

Is there a way I could purchase one from your area?? Thank you so much for keeping me in the loop on that and for thinking of me on that!

I think it is best if I send you this issue, I know they have a lot of foreign subscribers, get the feel of the magazine, see how you like it, and take it from there? I know a friend of mine on the continent subscribes, he gets it to his I-Pad. This is 2012, after all. But, first, have it, try it. Of course there's a lot of irrellevant stuff there, some good, some bad. I particulary enjoy Fred Hams monthly article, always about utility-birds.
I'll stick it in the post in the week.
