Langshan Thread!!!

Out of all the breeds I have raised, I have found the langshan to be the slowest to mature. My langshan chicks always seem to grow slower than others but eventualy become gigantic. It takes a while, but it is worth the wait!

I found this thread the other day and, being the Langshan lover that I am, I was thrilled! My birds are in breeding pens right now and are terribly out of condition, but I am going to post some pictures anyway of my standards. I love Langshans

Hi Y'all!

I am new to Langs, but feel like I am off to a pretty good start thanks to RoPo. I will be sticking with bantam whites for now.

Here is my oldest pair (not quite 2 mo old).

Roo (Tiz)

And my pullet (Wink)

So glad to be here and looking forward to learning lots!

Happy New Year Everyone

These birds almost look familiar. Only a few breeders have all 3 colors and I am wondering if one of them is my buddy in Ohio?

We just got back from a vacation to AZ for my dad's 80th birthday! I missed my chickens so much! I can't believe how much they grew in just the week that we were gone! My white Langshan cockerel is huge!

Haha! I understand completely!

This is a six week old Langshan pullet. See the chick at her feet? That's a 2 day old Speckled Sussex bantam! Langshans are the only breed I've been able to mix at any age.
