Langshan Thread!!!

I will post its progress. I said silvers, but I was talking about the gene rather than the color. I knew what you meant :). I sure hope some of your shipped eggs hatch! Im eatching one zip as I type this...come out chickie!!

I figured you did, just wanted to clarify. Though now I'm thinking how amazing a Silver Duckwing pattern would look on a Langshan, no idea how you'd go about creating it though.

Thanks for the well wishes on eggs, been at this for two decades now and have hatched thousands of eggs, but never even considered shipped eggs. First time for everything!

Happy hatching!

It'll go smoothly. Just resist temptation to open incubator til ALL are done hatching. Keeps it nice and high humidity in there so chicks can get out easier.

As you could probably tell I already blew that and took the first one out as soon as it dried. I'll be better with the rest.

Haha that happens a lot on the first hatch. :) my first time was very rough because I kept opening the incubator. We all love our birds and hatching season is the best season. :)

It did go well! 7 out of 8 hatched out and one egg still sits just in case.

Here's the babies! Only one little white one. The other chicks are sold but I am keeping the white.

Hello fellers! I lucked out and got a whole flock on cl. They came from skyline poultry.

Congratulations on your new flock!!! Some of my birds are from Skyline, also!

Huzzah!!! They are so cute!!! So six blacks and a blue?
We were having this discussion ealier and BGMatt was helping me with that question. He thought two blacks didn't make a blue but could do a recessive white. He did find a post in a different breed where two black made blue. What do you think?
