Not to best of my knowledge, I suppose some lines might be, feather sexing is done at day old though when it can be done. Sexing as they develop normally, I say normally females feather their bodies out faster than males do, but it isn't a hard fast rule.

So you mean I need to wait like everyone else? Lol

I have a year old Black Langshan roo that seems to have either pulled out or lost all of his leg feathers. Has anyone ever heard of this? Should I be concerned? His legs look sore to me, but don't seem to bother him at all.

Molting is a normal thing chickens do but this sounds like it may be something else. Do you have an area in the chicken pen with mostly sand and a little diatomaceous earth for them to dust bathe in? Helps to ensure they are able to rid themselves of pests, fleas, ticks, mites etc.

They love it here is a video of a few of mine doing the dust bath thing.

Define "look sore", if the scales are enflamed or lifting away from leg it is likely scaly leg mites.

Yes, we do have a dust bath of sand and diatom earth, but I have never seen him use it. You may be right about regrowth from molting since both be and his brother lost all feathers on their legs over the course of the winter. I took this close-up today of his foot which does show feathers growing back. Just didn't expect so much red swelling....
