Laree's "I CAN'T STOP MYSELF FROM HATCHING!!!" Hatch-a-long

I have 3 BBS Orps from Katy out. I also have a mix of Lav/Lav/BBS Orps from Pheatherz and out of 13 shipped eggs I have 8 out and 4 pipped and the last one was a clear.

OK I'm so bad.

I moved eggs from one of the LGs to the Sportsman.

Eggs from the Sportsman to 2 LGs for hatching and forgot to count what went into lockdown.

They're stuffed!

I pulled a lot of clears and quiters. Was hoping I was going to get a lot of my Marans X Games, but I have one hen still missing, One that came home with 4 chicks and 2 on nests. That leaves me 3 that are laying and as of this morning another one is missing. I need more of those chicks than what their mommas can hatch out. They've been paying the feed bills for everyone.

Got a huge mix in lockdown, but I haven't kept good records and all I can saw is I have lots of different colors. LOL

I need to dig out the eggs I tossed to see what I don't have.

Not looking forward to that.

I'm hoping a few mixes hatch. I have a broody that won't give up. This is her second nest and nothing has hatched. I'm slipping babies in to get her out and eatting better.

I'm going to be vicariously hatching some BLRWs... letting a coworker borrow the incubator. All those issues of Backyard Poultry and Practical Poultry I left around the work breakroom appear to be working!!!

MUWAHAHAHA

I LOVE my Dickey's incubator!!!!! For some ridiculous reason I set a very few amount of eggs, so I only had 8 go into lock down and 7 hatched. I didnt candle before lock down and the non hatcher clearly quite about a week ago. 2 Wheaten Ameraucanas and 5 Bantam Polish all from my own birds!

This is the first Ameraucana out, the other one is still in the bator.

In my Sportsmas I have been doing small amounts of eggs. About a week to 10 days apart. 9, 18, 12. That sort.

Now that I think I have the correct humidity and such, things are hatching pretty good. Wish I was getting those Dorking eggs now.

Woke up to my one little pip not doing so good. I had to get him out. I hope he makes it. Seems weak. His membrane was wrapped tight and I could barely see his beak. I touched it and nothing, so I thought I had already lost him, but when I started to chip away more shell he had a light peep.

I have some important eggs in these two hatchers and nothing else is going on. They're dure today. I've notice lately that if they don't all start hatching around the same time I find badly wrapped dead chicks in the shells. I candled the few I could see through and there's no sign of movement, so I'm getting worried I've lost both hatchers full. I don't understand this.
