Question about large Cochins!

I have Bantam Cochins they are so sweet so now I want large ones

I know they are not suppose to be good layers!

I am trying to find out if one type of cochin is a better layer than another.

So could you tell me what kind you have & How much she lays a week! (& were you got her)

I sell the eggs so it is a plus in deciding what kind to add!

I have 3 standard white cochins. They just started laying about a month ago. They lay about 3 or 4 eggs a week and the eggs are small/medium. You do have to trim their butts and feet occasionally too.

I have two Partridge Cochin hens. They lay about 5-7 eggs/week between the two of them, so about 3/week each. They are very young though, I only got them from Cackle Hatchery in April.

Our black cochin from MM layed small whiteish eggs and not that often. Our black cochins from Duane Urch lay large eggs that are dark brown, almost welsummer brown and they lay about 4-5 eggs per week. I am happy with the egg color, size, and amount layed for being from a show strain. He has an add in the poultry press and can email a price list of what breeds he has.

I have three cochin hens that have been laying about a month. I get 5 to six eggs a week from each one. They are nice brown eggs.
