Large Lizard Eggs Pics

yea im sure none of my hens are old enough to lay and the eggs are the size of a penny. i just thought that they where huge to come from that lizzard i guess the pic makes them look bigger. yea i covered them back up and let them be right after i took the pic

p.s. i had no idea they are on the threatend list. this isnt the first one ive seen around the farm lately
 
Sourland lives in W. central NJ, and we don't have lizards like that here. The picture is deceptive. I thought the eggs were much larger than a penny.
 
LOL, we are overrun with 5 Lined Skinks. I love the blue tails! Haven't found a nest, they seem to mostly live under the house.
 
Many lizard eggs start out much smaller when laid. They "grow" as the baby inside grows. The consistency of a lizard egg shell is much different than that of a chicken. It's rubbery and leathery. When I breed my geckos - their eggs easily double inside as they are incubated.

Awesome pic! And those eggs are huge!

I remember as a little girl, living in Flordia, i used to try hatch lizard eggs... but they were tiny compared to that.
Never worked, kinda like when i try to incubate my chicken or goose eggs.
