large male found dead

Some might think I'm crazy, but if I'm within 20 yards and see one poop, I'll go check it out, lol.

Would it make you feel better if we all mailed you little Christmas presents of Hershey Kiss pea-poo?

How can we teach people how to spot illness better?

-Kathy
We have to go threw it, see it for ourselves, reading others problems can be helpful it is all we have to learn from but it is not the same as going threw it ourselves.

If one of my birds gets a sinus issue i would be right up there with a new peaperson when it comes to getting help cause i have never had to deal with it.

But Kathy, it looked really fresh!
Good grief, one minute you want fresh poo, then ...
Maybe you can save it for a post about what good poo should look like ;-)

Another think to watch for would be the early signs of slipped tendon or twisted tibia. I know that the peafowl at the feed store with slipped tendon all started of limping a little, and within 2-3 days they weren't bearing weight, they hocks were huge and swollen and their legs started to turn.

What do you think caused that? I've heard of too much protein but I am not sold on that.

Mine did not have high protein, I'm wondering if it started with a slipped tendon and I did not know or see it in time.
