Lost Guinea today. Probably going to lose the Spanish too at this point, she still hasn't opened her eyes. She moves when you touch her, but she still is mostly sleeping.

Ducks seem miserable and dirty, but I'm not seeing any foot issues or listless ducks yet

Thinking the Spanish may have to be put down.
Breaks my heart, because if I'd listened to my gut, she'd probably have been fine, but she had seemed fine where she was too until yesterday. She's clinging, but still won't open her eyes and it sounds like she may have fluid in her lungs now by her breathing. I was able to leave her in a box half her size and uncovered and the most she did unsupervised all night was lift her head to rest it on the rim.

I'll check on her after I get back from work and my appointment. If.she still hasn't opened her eyes, I'll make the call. I love her, she's been around nearly 12 years at this point, but I don't want her languishing either.

The Spanish opened her eyes with a bit of hands on nudging on my part.. eagerly drank water,, im making carrot and sugar water for her right now to get a boost of energy into her before giving her some watery feed

Spanish went down hill again. I had her in the basement next to a warm source and with 2 very young pullets and she got chilled again. I don't think she's going to come back this time.

Left the door open to the mini barn yesterday because of the temperature and a pair of my Swedish were so excited.....


Until they felt the snow under their feet. Then they hurried back inside to the dry shavings.
