Larkwell Valley (2023)

Also have a neighbors cat stuck on a power pole. He's been there at least a full day and a half now (he climbed it about when the fawn was taken out). Poor thing is refusing to come down, and sooner or later he's going to freeze or become raptor food if he doesn't since we can't get him down. Power company and the FD won't come this far for a cat and the shelter isn't going to either. He's one of 3 cats the neighbor got and then forgot about, so I'm pretty attached. His name is Mr. Big Tabby (at least if you ask me).

The others are a smaller dark tabby female with a white tip on her tail and a black and white little one (think a tom) that I've started calling Miss Kitty and Jack Sparrow (Jack for short) respectively. Jack was in the chicken coop once or twice and possibly took out a bantam hen or two, but he generally stays away from anywhere he sees people going.

Miss Kitty is the friendliest, bust none of them really trust people. Miss Kitty and Mr Big Tabby both generally go into the barn when it's as cold as it is right now and stay where I generally don't go.

That's horrible!!!

Have I mentioned I hate people?
This neighbor has a track record of getting animals and then shirking responsibilities. He was constantly bringing home dogs and horses back when he was married and then his wife would get stuck caring for them while he was out for days at a time for his job. Now it's just him so no horses and only one dog that he takes with him when he leaves. And the 3 cats

Something was walking all over by the coops, mini barn and behind the house where the dog goes occasionally. Either a big cat or coyote, but just a single trail so I'm nervously guessing cat. I lost the trail in the trees, but didn't see anything in any of them while I was looking.

I suppose it could be a fox, but there was no smell, and I'm not sure how big their feet are. The prints were about the size of Sasha, my 90-100ish pound dog, and I feel like fox feet would be smaller than hers. Unfortunately the snow was too powdery to see if there were nail imprints or not.

Also I know they're not a case of someone being framed for Sasha's prints. She drags her feet over the top of snow and doesn't go around where the trail was at the coops and minibarn. Last time she went to the coops by herself was at least 2 years ago, and the snow only been on the ground about 2 days, so who knows how long this animal's actually been watching that area.
