I do have a bantam brahma Phoenix mix currently I'll be excited to see. She hatched two last year and then just left them by accident and lost them. Much better this time around

It doesn't to me. Almost everything I have lays a type of brown, so at least I could tell the initial ones apart when grabbing eggs to hatchThe egg colors would be off but I don't think that matters as much.
I have made that choice as well. I will breed to standard body type for use. Heavy for meat, mid weight for dual and light for eggs. I may maintain one to three breeds as pure but my main focus is going to be on my EE's. They will never be finished in my life time but that's what I want to do.Plus I've decided I won't be breeding seriously for shows when I move either. I'll be riding to maintain the standards for most apart from color, but I think I'll just be having fun with my birds more than stressing about them all being perfect and show worthy. Already has taken some stress off of me
That's good goals. I mainly want to introduce more Phoenix and Cornish bantam varieties when I have my set up amd land. Maybe a few silkie varieties as well. Other breeds I'll have because I like them and I'll have several sexlink pens, but those will be more to try and help fund my serious projects through chick and egg sales.I have made that choice as well. I don't have the space to really do what I want so I have to pick and choose. One acre is not enough. That's good goals. Of course, that's all just dreams right now anyways
No, it's not. I've been looking at at least 5 when I go window shopping on Zillow, but with the mammals I want to have, I'm thinking I'll need at least 10. Probably at least 12 is more likelyI don't have the space to really do what I want so I have to pick and choose. One acre is not enough.
