Larkwell Valley (2023)

Yeah, I meant more to just give them something to feed on. We don't have many flowers besides yucca anymore because of all the cheatgrass

I think i had one last year. Sounds familiar
I know most of the annuals i looked at are either bright colored or bright blue. I have a red bee balm on my list I think I'm going to have to get. Its so pretty. I'm trying to be careful about poisonous stuff too though between the chickens, cat and goat. With my luck that will be what finally does the goat in

Just in case you mean veggies, you do need pollinators for them to fruit.
Yeah, last year I took to artificially pollinating some of my stuff. I barely had anything flower, let alone produce before the freak frost killed everything early this fall. I'll pprobably do it again this year just to be safe.

At one point my family sheep then one randomly got sick and died so we gave the other one away. I was sorry he had to go like that but not sorry he had to go.

I love blue flowers.

You have to be careful ordering seeds or plants label as having blue flowers. Many are purple. I like purple flowers too just don't list them as blue and they are really purple! That's wrong and disappointing.
Blue is just the word for purple flowered plants. I don’t know why. Purple is my favorite color. That said, I’m still disappointed when I ordered blue and get purple.
Purple is unique though, one of the rarest colors in nature. Sure blue “pigment” is rare but the sky is blue and blue jays are blue through iridescence, but name one common purple bird?

Personally I don't like either. Maybe a really rich purple in an orchid, but those are indoor. Outdoor, I like yellows, whites, a red here and there, light pinks, and maybe a light blue too, but it'd have to be a very petite flower

OK I just lied. Wow I'm dense sometimes. Lilacs are heavenly, so I make an exception there

For me, orchids get an exception. I like all orchids no matter the color! I like some better than others but yep, I'll take any!

I think these colors show off better in the landscape. White especially in the early morning or at night. White just glows right before sunset.

Any flowers with a scent are really nice.

Agreed. I love the rarer orchid types, although I've never owned one, only phalaenopsis. I agree, white looks amazing during sunsets, and sunrises. Even at night. I will sort of disagree on the last one...there are some flowers that are said to smell like rotting flesh🤢. But you know, normal people scented flowers are indeed all amazing
