Lash Egg??

please tell me this isn't a lash egg!! Just found it in the bedding on the bottom of my coop. All my girls are very young, 18 weeks and a few just started laying. I've heard it's more common in older birds so I'm really hoping it's not what it looks like. I will be devastated if I lose one of my girls!

It does look a bit like a lash egg especially with the color.  I wouldn't worry too much yet. Here is a good link about salpingitis, and here are a couple of threads with pictures of lash eggs:

Thank you for the links, I'm hoping it's just a fluke! I might have an idea of who it came from because my one girl had a little gooky stuff on her back feathers. She seems to be acting normal but I am keeping a very close eye on her
