@azygous @Wyorp Rock So....now when she was pecking for feed on the bottom of the cage clear liquid came out of her mouth..... Now what?! Could it be sour crop from all the antibiotics?

Could be a crop issue or she may have just drank water and some came out.
Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink - see if it's empty/flat.

@azygous @Wyorp Rock Today she woke up with a pretty flat crop and (up until now) no liquid coming out of her mouth. She also laid another egg! I am really hopeful that she'll come out on the other side of this. Thanks so much for your support and knowledge-- it's VERY appreciated!

@azygous @Wyorp Rock Hi, team! Well, we made it two months, then the symptoms began to recur (egg whites, yellow stuff coming out...shriveled eggs). I brought her back in and started up with Amtyl again. On the 4th day she laid a regular egg, so I'm going to treat for ten days again.

Am I in this for the long haul?

Long haul, maybe. What is her age? Older hens with salpingitis or chronic reproductive infection may continue to get worse, while a young hen may be able to overcome it with antibiotics. You can certainly give it a try.

@azygous She's about 2 years and 3 months. She seems to be turning the corner since she laid a normal egg, but I hate that it may keep happening.

I'm glad she's turning a corner, but I agree, likely this will reoccur.
I think you are doing what you can for her.

Is there an antibiotic you all would recommend for this, and where would I get it? @azygous @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock
Right now we are starting Day 6 of Amtyl.

In my opinion, Amtyl is fine for this. But later on, if this issue persists, you might switch to another one such as Clindamycin. 25 to 50 mg per day. It's a very hard hitting antibiotic.
