Last 3 days in incubator for newbie

I have two lavender orphington eggs still in the bator will wait until day 25 to egg-topsy if they haven't hatched. I also have two Spangled Sussex eggs out of the 8 shipped to me in lock down right now. Today is their day 19 one last night looked eh not so viable and one looked like it could be a chick in there. Fingers crossed one of the 4 eggs in lock down hatches in the next two days.

I have a little giants 9300 with 5 goose eggs in it, 4 of them when candled last night look pretty good. Those go into lock down on Wednesday the 15th (sorry if any of you have heard this before) lol. And I have 7 Ancona duck eggs in my brinsea incubator and they also look pretty good. Their lock down day is 4-20. I'm so egg-cited. I can't wait to hatch some little goslings and ducklings. Also already thinking about what I can order to incubate next. Maybe some Tolbunts, Polish or Silkies??Or all of them? I also wanna incubate Runner ducks, and Saxony ducks. Lol am I sad or what?

Oh and I almost forgot I ordered 10 chicks, 2 goslings, 2 turkeys, and 2 ducklings. Which should arrive from Stromberg's in the mail on 5-11. I am working on getting a great farm going.
Wish you all the best of luck.
Polish!!! I want some more polish...lol I wouldn't mind the tolbunts either. lol

I first heard of them three or four weeks ago on here. A couple different members were having trouble hatching them so I had to go google and I liked what I saw...lol

Oh sounds like they are a challenge to hatch. That maybe something to conquer Amy don't you think? We may have to work on that. :)

2nd chick is out. Needed a fair bit of assistance as it was nearly shrink wrapped. 1st one is black and red and 2nd is blue. From a black mother and mottled black father lol. This chicken genetics stuff is soooo confusing

I don't even try to understand the genetics. I loved BIO in school and did well, but that was over 20 years ago....lol

I have 9 this morning but still seeing more pips in other eggs. One is struggling a bit, it keeps falling over on it's back but it was just hatched this morning and still wet so hopefully it will discover its legs. So far I have 6 buff, 1 black, 1 splash, one undetermined. It's either black or splash but still wet so I can't tell.

Now that they are hatching and it looks to be dragging out in to days, should I remove the dry ones or let them stay until all have hatched?

Ok .. Soooo I'm in lockdown day 18 and I put in a wet sponge to up my humidity....now my window are foggy.. Bator reads 64% ... Am I still ok? Should I take the sponge out????? Shipped serama eggs by the way. Oh and no pips yet
