Last 3 days of Incubating

When you remove the eggs from the turner should you lay them flat or put them in an egg carton for them to hatch?

I prefer hatching in cartons, but others prefer just laying the eggs on the wire.

With cartons, its easier to clean up, and less mess from hatching. It also seems like the chicks have an easier/faster time hatching out.

I have always hatched them on their sides in the trays... FWIW Good luck on your hatch!!

I seem to have better luck with egg cartons. Besides I dont like it when fuzzy butts think they are soccer players and keep kicking the eggs all ober the place.

I lay mine flat in a cupcake. Helps with the mess...

Thanks for the help. I should have new babies on the 25th. I have 35 black copper marans in the incubator. Wishing for a great hatch.
