last call / 20 Ameraucana eggs / $15.00 plus shipping / ship 7/12

Hi Lisa! I'll be happy to save eggs for you to ship either of those days.

The Am' hens are picking back up (got 6 eggs from my 11 Am' hens today). This time of year, it's hard to predict how they'll lay from one day to the next.

Thanks,

Hi Lisa - if I'm reading this thread right you have these eggs to ship today? If so, SOLD. Funny thing is I was just telling hubby last night that I was going to contanct you and see if you had any more eggs. I had a 100% hatch rate with the eggs I bought from you in Feb. and half of those are the Ameracaunas that should start laying this month. I would like to have some more. Out of that batch one is a roo; 2 are dark blue/black females; 1 light blue female; and 1 splash female. I also have one little light blue female from the eggs you sent me to put under my broody.

Your birds are beautiful and so are the babies they produce.

Yeah!!!! I'm trying to focus on breeds and I love the blue ones plus gotta have those green eggs. I had three green egg layers in my original little flock but am now down to just Ruth so I'm only getting one green egg a day. I'm hoping your Valentines Day gang will start laying soon. You should see what a fuss your grandson roos (all four) make around here these days - crowing long before dawn and giving the girls heck. They all love Ruth who stays in the duck house till dark then runs to me to put her up on roost so she doesn't have to get near the roos who will run straight for her if they see her and jump her. The other day I was out in yard and heard the screaming and a roo was on her tail and she was running fast. She saw me and ran straight up to me and straight up my legs, chest and into my arms where the shocked me was able to catch her. Nearly knocked me down she was running so fast and hit me so hard right in chest. My DH was laughing his head off, I couldn't help but laugh too it was really hillarious.

I need to post a current pic of the two BR roo twins - they are so big and handsome. My DH says the same thing every day when he sees them "That's a beautiful rooster".

Lisa - look what I found in nest box when I went back outside. One of your little grandgirls just laid this tiny perfect little green egg - right next to my BSL's large egg. It's so neat - the day you send me some new eggs I get my first egg from the Ameraucana babies I hatched Valentines Day from your eggs - and the first new eggs we've had in a year since my original flock started laying. They are just a few days shy of five months old but I've never seen them squat or act like they were about to start laying and I've NEVER seen them anywhere near nest boxes which are way up high and need a ladder to get to. Smart girl knew where to go. Guess she had been watching the big girls.

For anyone else interested in Lisa's eggs - they are almost 100% all fertile and all hatch. Here are some of the roos from Lisa's eggs:

Thanks Lisa for the newest batch of eggs. I'm looking foward to having them joing their long lost brothers nd sisters. The way the Roos are behaving I'll soon have my own fertile eggs.

Yaay! A new layer! That's great she found the nest box for her first egg --- smart girl

Her timing is perfect!

That's bizarre! How'd that red roo come from from blue, black, splash birds? I've hatched some black and blue cockerels with some red in the hackles / saddles but not an all red one.
And I don't think Splash is a splash.
The hen with her butt to the camera is a splash:

I hatched a pullet from the Am' pen that looks like yours (does she have a salmon-y colored breast?), but I don't know what you'd call that color.
I dunno how these 'wild' colors pop out.

Yeah the "splash" one does have a sort of salmon colored breast. She and the beautiful red roo are the ones I called Skunky and Cheetah when they hatched.

Skunky is upper left corner - Cheetah (roo) in upper right.

I just caught Skunky in nest box also - moving hay around - but she left without laying an egg. I'm wondering if it was she that laid the egg earlier and she just came back or if she coincidentaly will be laying the same day as the whoever laid it? Monkey see Monkey do - definitely applies to chickens. I'm so excited that they are not only laying but are using the nest boxes.
