We have 20 acres in the country. We have 2 roos and don't want more for peace in the flock.I'd say take individual pictures and number them to get less confusing answers. Easier said, then done, I know, but if cockerels aren't allowed better to be certain which is which.
How long have you had your current roosters? We have 20 acres in the country. We have 2 roos and don't want more for peace in the flock.
1 is 2 yrs, a Buckeye, the other is a RIR at 1 yr.How long have you had your current roosters?

I was gonna suggest keeping a younger one if the previous ones were older than they are, but still good ages.1 is 2 yrs, a Buckeye, the other is a RIR at 1 yr.
Every bird I’ve circled has male-specific pointed feathers on shoulder and saddlesWhy the red one above the black one?
Thank you. I just caught the BR looking one and he's in a carrier. The RIR roo (14 mo old) is doing "the dance", the I want you to bear my egg, by the carrier.Every bird I’ve circled has male-specific pointed feathers on shoulder and saddles
