Last night's windstorm, is everybody ok?

Hey, that's West Virginia! - My wife was on that flea-market in Elkview and texted me that the sun was shining unbearable hot and here, just a couple of miles away there was no sunshine at all! Glad you're all OK!

about a half hour away in Saint Albans, we had a nice sunny day until about 4 in the afternoon... then the wind tried to steal my coop!

so I ran outside in my PJ’s (lazy Sunday’s) shut the door and held the roof down until the wind calmed for a minute, then found a nice big log to hold the roof down for me. By that point (like 5 minutes after the sunshine left) I was soaked through, and decided to go take a warm shower.

I went inside and grabbed some nice, dry clothes, went to the washroom, and looked out the window.... to a nice, sunny, windless day. So I had to go slip & slide in the mud to re-open my coop door.

I will say though, that shower was a lot warmer after getting soaked in the rain.

I barely finished the great duck-house cleanout before the winds picked up and the rain started to fall sideways. But the bummer was that mini-front that came through shortly after midnight. Lot's of damaged trees, roofs, cars and power lines…
