Hey everyone. I was given this lovely coronation sussex at 12 weeks old. ‘She’ had a large comb but it was very pale in colour - no wattles. ‘Her’ feathering didn’t set off any alarms. But here we are at 18 weeks and ‘she’ has been molting and I think I am seeing male hackle feathers and saddle feathers (saddle feathers look rounded though?). ‘She’s’ my only CS so nothing to compare to. What do you all think - cockerel? There’s been no crowing and ‘she’ sounds just like my australorp girls. (Please note it’s been raining so ‘she’ is wet and has been molting haha. Also, the feathers on ‘her’ back were singed on heat lamp before ‘she’ came to us. Just saying - she looks rough haha but is a healthy bird). Ta.
