Late Introduction

A belated :welcome It’s nice to formally meet you!
Have you considered other fowl species? Even a Broad breasted white (BBW) turkey is a great experience. Not to mention they are delicious. :drool

We were thinking about a turkey but we are still trying to get chickens down lol. here are some recent pictures of a few of our chickens:

My end goal is to hatch all of our own eggs, the first hatching of our own eggs will probably in late spring, as soon as our cockerels are old enough!
Do you have a special breed you're going to breed for chicks? Are you going to incubate or use broody's? Just curious. Again good luck and have fun...

I’m looking to breed EE, oe, bbs ameraucanas, bbs Orpingtons, fauvacanas, salmon faverolles, and probably a few just barnyard mixes for fun. I have one hen (austrolop) that did a really good job raising two chicks so if she ever goes broody again we are going to let her hatch chicks. Basically whoever goes broody we are going to let them hatch but we are planning on just using an incubator since it went well the first time.
