I have 2 older chickens that have decided to start shedding their feathers.. It has been high of 50F low of 24F Unusual temps this time of year should be in the upper 30's -50's..

One looks like a Hard Molt she will be bald very soon but starting to grow new down. the other is just starting neck and chest and tail and wing tips.

Is it common for them to molt in November. The other 2 hens did it in aug/september!!

I live in Wisconsin and I have only ONE in molt of 4 older chickens, it has snowed twice already here, I'm hoping I'm not going to have naked chickens when the temperatures plummet! Last year, I had all 4 molting at once in November/December, there were feathers everywhere!! Your chickens will be fine...especially living in paradise;)

They can molt whenever. A few of mine started in August/Sept. Currently have one in a pretty full blown molt right now, and still one that has not yet molted.
