Late Winter Quilt Block Swap -----> March 1 due date

I live in a desert so I know we won't have a lot of rain, that's understood and we rely on the snow melt and underground rivers for our water, so we conserve. What I can't understand is how the county can change desert land to an agricultural zoning and allow a rancher to plant 100,000 pistacio trees. That's just one. There's another that has planted over 80 acres in pistacio's and we've had several that already have them. I wonder what happens when we run out of water? They may be drought tolerant but they still require so many gallons of water a week to produce nuts.

Another storm coming in tonight. I hope it snows in the mountains and we get a little rain. I guess I can wait on my yarn if it does. Well, I'm off here to make fudge, peppermint bark and no bake cookies and then I can finish my grandsons quilt. Hope everyone has a good day.

Mine are pretty much done still procrastinating about the petals , just working on the 12 that I will submit for mnferralkitty and planing the next chicken blocks,

katsdar: this isn't one of the ones I made, cause I don't have the ambition to unwrap them and take photos, but this is what it looks like. They hold your book or whatever in a comfortable position while you're lying in bed or on the floor....

I haven't done more than pick a pattern. Will start blocks after Christmas. I don't remember what our last count was. I'd have to go back and look.

Hows the blocks going? We don't have lots of folks I'm afraid.
There has been no word from Marty on the question of how many...from the OP it said up to 25 to sign up, but when I whipped through got about 12 and that includes what Kats and I are supposed to share for MNferralkitty....I would like a final number soon due to needing to get this done. It would not be good to do 25 blocks for 12 people unless Marty doubles it officially.....??????? I would like to get these done as I didn't sign up for the swap, but to fill in...
