Here in the high desert ,we are lucky to get 3 inches of rain a year. Some years we only get an inch or so. We may get some rain in the next few days. If we do then we'll have pretty desert flowers this spring.

It's rained for the last three days here in North Central Pennsylvania.... I will just say that I'm glad it hasn't been snow.

Quilt blocks will be started in January, as I've recently discovered how to make the pyramid book holder pillow things for Christmas presents!

Rain!?? It hasnt stoped here for months! We had no rain for 16 weeks at the begining of the year then once it started it hasnt stopped!
My husband is going to sell his old spot pigs as he says he cant cope with struggling through the mud any longer and because of the hard time we are all in it is getting harder to sell the meat.

Rain what is that lol we had the wet stuff for 2 days and now it has stopped, during the summer we would get rain only enough to make the grass mad.(angry)

It amazes me that the desert can be so hot in summer and them go to the opposite of extremes in winter. This morning at 6 AM it was 15 outside. It's 9 PM now and already down to 30. But it continues to be dry. There is another storm coming in Saturday and snow levels will drop to the pass level and we need to go to Bakersfield on the other side of the mountains. I still need to finish shopping and I also need some more yarn, darn....

Marty, I hate to say it but that sounds to me like we can expect food costs to rise. I know a lot of people who got out of cattle because they didn't have enough water to keep them.
