Late Winter Quilt Block Swap -----> March 1 due date

The commenly produced quilt blocks, such as patterns and how to's for can be found online. 9-patch is a simple old pashioned standard quilt block. So is 3-square, log cabin, stars, etc... The list goes on and on. I've made several of those blocks, but in the last several monthes I've really been more interested in making my own blocks. Some are good, some not so good.

I am still with you girls....just got to finish blocks for the winter swap- its that Marty , shes a hard task master!!!

Have a bit of an idea about what im going to make but no firm decsion yet

Hi guys! I am just posting to keep up with this thread. I will not be joining such a large swap since I hand piece and it takes longer to do the blocks. I do however want to watch & see the beautiful blocks everyone makes. Good luck and maybe I can join the next one.

Ok, blocks are done now slowly cutting the 400 petal halves to make the petals then attach to the blocks, Some blocks may have different colored flowers since I don't know if I will have enough fabric to get all of them, but it will be close, and of course since I bought the last of the fabric the store doesn't have anymore like it, but variety is the spice of life. we will see.

the flowers don't have to match anyway. Each one can be different. Like you said "variety is the spice of life"

I'll be poking around in my quilting books and at Quilters Cache online and deciding on my block this weekend! It will be fun to think about spring, as we have a forcast of dreary rain all weekend on and off, bleh!

Grannysroost this is the 25 block per person, so we will have enough for a 60 x 60 quilt, this is due March 1, this is the big one.

In the original post she said up to 25, less if less sign up...I can't track through the thread...LOL...I didn't see a cut-off date either I don't think....
