Latest UPDATE on neighbors dog (LONG POST)

That is awesome!! My DH loved the idea. We are planning on expanding our chicken coop- the run part anyway and then only letting them free range when we are out with them until we can do better. LOVE THE IDEA though! I would love to see the game camera pictures of that! and if they have owners (and aren't just a pack of dogs) what would their owners think seeing them covered in paint the next day. AND if I saw them, i would know whose dogs they were! Brilliant!

It looks like you have a Yellow Lab, with a Chow-ish something in the second picture. That other one looks like a ghost bear LOL

honestly, I'd just shoot them and say screw the owners, they owe me money for ammo. Then again I've ben having problems with canines for a while... (specifically coyotes mostly)

They would have to camp out and hope the dogs come that night.

DH loves the paintball idea. He wants to put a sign at the end of our road that has a picture of the dogs and says "KEEP YOUR DOGS OUT OR ELSE" or something like that. Yeah,

When we lost 2 chickens to a raccoon 2 of my boys took turns camping out on the roof with the Ruger 10/22 and a flashlight. That only lasted a few nights no raccoon. That was over the summer and we tried to trap the coon a few times he got out of the trap once after my son saw him in there then he avoided the trap and we kept seeing him on occasion at times with no gun in hand. I finally got him though, 2 weeks ago. Our chickens are on the side of my house were the master bedroom is and I have all kinds of perimeter alarms up, he set one off that woke me up went outside and I watched him climb up a tree and sit there looking at me and I did what I had to do!

Been dealing with Coyote's for a while, I have a cat that is bipolar and he is HUGE that has gotten in a few fights with them. One time a coyote must of bitten down on him because he had to teeth puncture wounds that I had to use my vet skills on. I am pretty sure that coyote was in worse shape...

Great Stories! right now we have a solar powered fence and its not doing the trick. I can touch it and it barely hurts. we are going to go electric now and and fry some puppies...pardon me. I don't normally talk that way, but I am getting really sick of this.

I wanted to add, we have our own dogs and I would never do anything to harm them so you know it won't be bad, but it has to be worse than it is now for it to be effective!

Sorry tho. A 2 mile charger from the farm store is about 30 bucks. Enough to knock a kid on their buttsky. My fat but? Hm.. not quite... but should do the job on those dogs.

I would suggest an electric fence strong enough for horses. Ours won't hurt dogs or chickens, but they will get enough of a jolt to stay away from it.
