Latifa here is about 6 years old. She is lathargic and has a dull comb/waddles. her tail was down and was pecking at her food. I discovered her like this on Sunday so I doubt she is eggbound but just to make sure, I am soaking her in a nice bath. She isnt resisting and she is being a sweet girl. Her vent appears a bit dirty with poo hanging out, and she doesn't seem to waddle, but her tail seems down and her feathers fluffed. I almost think she has a wee cold. the other hens are fine. She is not laying. Could she still be eggbound after exhibiting these symptoms since sunday or do you think she just needs some babying? she doesn't seem too weak, just a bit lathargic. It's been wet and a bit chilly (40s) and is typical for Washington Weather near Everett. I will massage her belly a bit to 'squeeze' anything and maybe even apply a bit of water lube on her vent area, but is ther any other ideas for my girl? she doesn't roost on her 4 foot perche but is roosting on a 2 foot one.
