Laundry, anyone?

I use to take my laundry out of the dryer and throw it in a basket and take it upstairs to fold ... but most time it would sit in that basket on the couch for DAYS, sometimes WEEKS, until someone got around to folding it. A lot of times we'd just pull out things we needed as we needed them. But not so long ago I discovered an old metal cloths rack my mother had given me and I started throwing cloths fresh out of the dryer onto a table downstairs and sorting it right away into "cloths that needed to be hung" and folding cloths. The cloths to be hung got done right away but the cloths waiting to be folded could be left a while. When I'm ready to fold I just start going through the pile and folding as I go, sorting into specific people's piles as I fold. Socks I save and sort when I have a basket full ... I HATE looking fro matches

Yay! Someone else!!

All that handleling, double handleing.. triple handleing... is a huge time waster! :idunn Good thing you enjoy it.. I don't want to prolong chores any longer than I have too though!

We dump it all on the bed, and stand on either side, (good time to talk, my DH helps) we pile as we fold, his stuff on his side of the bed, mine on the other. When we're done we put our own stuff away in the closet. He puts all the towels away, and I fold the sheets. Works out good.

Did no one ever tell you? Unmentionables are not to be hung outside. Inside only.

I thought they could hung out as long as they couldn't be seen. But I was raised on the West Coast, back in the days of Cowboys and Indians.

Martha Stewart . com has instructions for this skill. I personally have never wanted to know that bad. DH was the one that looked it up on Oprah.com and again on MarthaStewart.com

I was happy with clean, fairly flat and in the linen closet. But clean and put away has always worked for me. If someone else will do it, is always even better.
