i need a recipie for laundry soap

Here is the directions for Homemade Laundry Soap:

2 bars Fels Naptha soap
3 cups washing soda
3 cups borax
empty 5 gallon pail with lid

Grate Fels Naptha, it grates easily
Put grated Fels Naptha with 36 cups hot water. Heat until soap is melted
Stir in borax and washing soda until dissolvd
Remove from heat and pour into your 5 gallon bucket
Add warm water from faucet filling pail 3/4 full
Let set 24 hours
Use 1/2 cup per load laundry
Soap will be a watery gel.

there is a very good one under Hobbies: soap makers..it uses fels naptha. borax and washing soda..etc..I haven't been able to make it lately..can't find the fels naptha..

Mine is similar to the one above but makes 2 gallons.
1 Bar Fels Naptha soap grated
1C borax
1C washing soda

Melt the grated soap in 6 cups of water once dissolved add the borax and washing soda (I usually let this all simmer together for about 20minutes). Then mix in remaining water-total 2gallons. Let rest for 24hours before using.

Use 1/2cup for each load.

In our store Bakers-Food 4 Less, they keep the soap in with the detergents. My store has all 3 ingredients next to each other for us "homemade" people!!

I buy two or three bars every month when I go down, and it lasts me quite awhile, unless I am in a giving mood and made more batches to give out to the kids. I am going to ask the local IGA if they will order it, as I can get the washing soda and Borax there. My mom always kept a bar of Felsnapa soap open and used it as stain remover/pre wash when I was a kid.

This is the recipe I use. It takes up less space than the liquid recipes and works just as well.

Laundry Powder

1 cup Grated Fels Naptha bar soap
1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1/2 cup Baking Soda

Grate a bar of Fels Naptha and let it dry out for a few days, then pulverize it by blending it with an immersion blender until it is fine and powdery. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients. Store the soap in an airtight container. (I just use a big mason jar.) Use 2 tablespoons per load.
