What would I get if I crossed a Lavender Orpington rooster and a CLB hen ?
What would the chicken look like?

What would I get if I crossed the same rooster with a Wheaton hen?

I'm not good when it comes to genes, the only jeans I really know are the ones I get from Old Navy :gig
Me just joking around, I've never crossbred chickens except for sticking random eggs under a broody hen.

Lavender (self blue) acts as black when crossed to anything other than lavender. So I believe you would get black pullets and barred cockerels with the CLB.
With the wheaton, I believe all the chicks would be black
All the chicks should also be split to lavender (carry the lavender gene, which could be expressed if these chicks were crossed to lavender).
I am fairly new at figuring out genetics, so hopefully others will chime in and correct me if I am incorrect. 😊

Black pullets and barred cockerels, but with leakage. Look up Black Sex Links. They would look like that but maybe less leakage, and the leakage would be a lighter shade. They would also have crests and the pullets would lay pale green eggs.

Same thing, but the roosters wouldn't have barring. (What breed of hen?)
