Lavender (self blue) acts as black when crossed to anything other than lavender. So I believe you would get black pullets and barred cockerels with the CLB.What would I get if I crossed a Lavender Orpington rooster and a CLB hen ?
What would the chicken look like?
What would I get if I crossed the same rooster with a Wheaton hen?
Know any???Good question! Sounds like one for the experts!
I would like to avoid black birds. I have a small line of BCM and that is enough black for me.Then you’d have something that looks like Black Sexlinks but with cream eggs and at least half of the offspring would have pea combs.
Yeah sadly black is very dominant. They won't be totally black, more like this (I forgot to mention that the roosters from the wheaten cross won't have barring btw)I would like to avoid black birds. I have a small line of BCM and that is enough black for me.
I'm not good when it comes to genes, the only jeans I really know are the ones I get from Old NavyWhat would I get if I crossed a Lavender Orpington rooster and a CLB hen ?
