Lav Orps Male or Female?

Were they straight run? They all look like males to me. I used to raise Buffs. My advice to anyone who orders chicks from hatcheries is to pay a little extra and get pullets. The guarantee is 90% for most hatcheries so there is still a chance you could get a male. Many years ago I ordered pullets and still got a male. Often times if the hatchery sends some peanuts they are males. Good luck and have fun...

I don't know if it will make you feel any better but I bought my 6 straight run lavenders from a private seller and I'm pretty sure that only 2 are girls. Maybe it's just something in the water

Yeah I thought about doing that but they had the cheapest lavender orps I could find but they only offered straight run, which was okay bc I wanted a male or two but also a few females not all males.
