Lavender Ameraucana Breeders .... UNITE

Wasn't it Jean that said cuckoos will never be approved in Ameraucanas because we'll never be able to get the leg colour right?. Something about the barring gene that conflicts with the leg colour we require or something to that effect? (I'm going from memory .... )

Is this the Lavender Ameruacana thread, or the wild unlikely project thread?

Lavs are nearing the finish line when it comes to acceptance. It has taken awhile to get them taken seriously. I would urge those who wish to to spend time on other varieties, start threads regarding them.

I personally don't mind Lavender Projects popping in on this thread. I was very interested in the Lavender Wheaten Ams, but that project is WAY over my head. Same way with the Cuckoos. They should not be the MAIN topic of conversation on this thread.

Well, as wildly unlikely as they may be, several people have committed to this project which is also several generations in. In the meantime, solid birds from this project ARE BEING USED TO IMPROVE OUR LAVENDERS.
