Here are a couple of photos of my 7 Lavender Ameraucanas at 16 weeks (tomorrow). The one I thought was a roo began crowing 6 days ago (#1). I am still undecided on #2 although I'm pretty sure there is only one. #2's comb does not look red/large enough. If I am wrong then there is a posibility I have up to 3 roos. Can someone help?

Is it possible to get a stand alone pic of #2, from the top, and from the side? If its a rooster, he should have clear saddle feathers by now. I think I see some, but I'd like a better cameral angle to be sure.

Here is a closeup of all 3. I'm almost positive all 3 are roos now that you explained the saddle feathers & included the great pix. Hopefully my photo's are good enough for you to see them. I can enclude top view pix if needed.

In this sequence, I think 1&3 are cockerels. 2 I'm on the fence. I think I see rounded pullet saddle feathers. Its hard to see with the lighter birds...

OK...#1 is definately a cockerel (witnessed him crowing ) & #4 is definately a pullet. I included those as ref. 2 & 3 are in question. I also darkened the pix just a hair to see if it feathers show up better.

I'm going to go out on a limb & say all 3 are cockerels.

You all seem like you know your LAMs. I have one I hatched (only lav, so no one to compare with) & is 10 weeks old now. Pink comb appeared in the last week and a half. Until then, blank space. Slow to feather and grow. I have gone back and forth on this bird about a half dozen times!!
