Lavender in duck house

hi everyone,
I was wondering whether I could crumble some lavender in the bedding of my duck brooder and eventually the duck house? I feel like I read this somewhere before but I could be mistaken. I use auboise at the moment and their water is in a tray to try to catch some of the drips. I clean my brooder and house out twice per day but they are so smelly and messy! They are currently in my garage until they are big enough to defend themselves against my drake (if necessary) and move into their duck house, they will free range and just go back in at night from them on. I do love them dearly but my goodness they smell!

I use lavender essential oil in my house I mix with water and spray. Try some of the plant just to see if the will nibble on it before putting much in

Pine shavings and a clean Coop works wonders...

It sure can make a coop smell nice I also use essential oil of peppermint and Lemon mix it up in the Oxine ah into a spray bottle.

I planted a lot of lavender around my pen so it smells better. Plus it comes back every year

Yep!! I have mint and lemon thyme also. Minty fresh!

Chocolate mint here and lemon balm they don't even mess with it.
