Lavender Orpington, Help!

I have a young Lavender Orpington hen that has a soft sack hanging inside of her in between her legs, and poopy butt. Whats wrong? Help!

I can't speculate on the sack.
Pasty butt is common. Prepare a bowl of warm water (90-95F) and submerge the chicks butt until poop is soft and easily removed. Remove all, inspect to ensure a clean sphincter, then place back under heat source in brooder.

Welcome to BYC. If this is a young hen and not a chick, I suspect the sack is an eggshell membrane. Can you post some pictures?

Rose is a 1year old hen
