So i work 2nds and get home at 1-2 am… my wife woke up was getting ready this morning and came running in and woke me up and said there is a rooster crowing in out coop….. (we dont have a rooster atleast we thought)
So i wake up and listen sure enough someone was crowing… i walk out and these 2 and one isobrown were sitting there….. and from what im finding these dont look like a rooster right??? Or am i wrong?

The most obvious way to tell, is to look at the saddle feathers, which are the feathers on their backs near their tails. If you look at the cockerel's, you can see that they are pointed, were as the pullets are very rounded.

Agree with all the others. You have a pair. These are really nice lavender Orpingtons. Hardly any shredded feathers (common with the coloring). Beautiful form. Where did you get them?
