I have this “lady” that I purchased as a sexed female and I’m pretty sure she is but I want expert opinions. Poppy is a LOUD MOUTH and never shuts up. We call her the veloci-chicken. She has yet to lay an egg but is the same age (roughly 5 1/2-6 months) as the for sure female Brahma (she lays eggs) that we got with her. She shows hen behaviors such as dropping and spreading her wings out. But she doesn’t ever shut up. My other females are so quiet (1 of them is a buff Orpington). So experts. Obnoxious female or a rooster?

Pullet. At over 5 months you would be seeing pointy saddle feathers if she were a male. Some pullets are just obnoxiously loud. One of mine can be heard two blocks over when she gets going, so we keep the girls in the coop until 7am out of consideration for the neighbors (although it took one of my neighbors over a year to realize we had chickens)
